About The Prepared Table

Hi! I’m Britney. Daughter of the King, wife to Blake, mother to Luke & Leah. These are my favorite titles and the ones I live for everyday. I am a dreamer by nature. I have so many ideas running through my head daily of new things to try, places to see, things to do. This blog & website is just one of those things.

I love the outdoors and would rather spend all day out there..hmm.. maybe I need an outdoor kitchen. That may be a project for another day 🙂 I love living simply, making my house feel like a home, cooking from scratch when I can, spending time with my husband and kids, listening to podcasts and music, working with my hands, and I love learning all the things the Holy Spirit wants to teach me in this life.

I am here to share all of those things with you! Recipes that are easy & delicious, gardening tips, my family adventures in our camper that I have lovingly named “Delilah”, and all the amazing things the Lord is teaching me.

A table is a symbol of fellowship. Its where we gather to get nourishment for our bodies. I often picture Jesus sitting at a table waiting for fellowship with me. I wonder how long He waits sometimes.. as I do other things, busying myself with hurry or daily tasks. I wonder what soul giving nourishment He wants to gift to me if I only I come, sit, and commune with Him.

As I sat over a year ago, knowing that the Lord told me to start a blog, I asked Him…what name would YOU have for my blog. I had written so many names on paper..none of them feeling quite right..and almost immediately I heard in my spirit “The Prepared Table”. Oh, what He wants to share with us if we would just ask and listen. Thank you, Jesus, that you are always ready to sit and commune with little old me.

I know the Lord has plans for this space that He so lovingly gave me a name for. I dedicate it to Him..for His purpose, His honor, and His glory.
