Meet me at the Table 1
| A few months ago I was sitting in the Bojangles drive thru. My son loves to order Bo rounds and since it wasn’t breakfast time they asked us to pull up and wait. As we were waiting I noticed a bird flying around in the parking lot. He spotted a fry and flew down and picked it up. In my head I was thinking…that bird got him a good little snack today.. but also in that moment I felt the Holy Spirit give me a revelation. It was about more than this little bird getting a tasty fry. He said- don’t you know I KNEW that person would throw that fry out and this exact bird would be flying by needing food? God knows that bird- HE KNOWS where it was hatched, how many days it has had breath.. and HE KNEW that bird needed food. God also KNEW that person that received that particular fry wouldn’t want it and would throw it out of the window..at the same time HE KNEW I needed to see and have a revelation of this word and so I gave in to my children begging for Bojangles. He is in the details, ya’ll. He is sovereign. Why are we so quick to think He doesn’t have it all figured out and we worry ourselves sick trying to find a solution to all of our problems. We try to do everything in our power, in our own strength before we look to the one who is sovereign over it all. The verse in Matthew 6 goes on to talk more about worry and how God provides for even the smallest of things and then Jesus says “Oh you of little faith” I don’t know about you but I don’t want Jesus to look at me and say Oh you of little faith.. I want Him to look at me and say Oh you of BIG faith. You believed and trusted in my Word. I encourage you to go out seek and find his provision this week because I promise He is providing. He is Jehovah Jireh. Whatever the need is.. He already knows. Ask Him to show you his provision this week and then don’t forget to look for it. Shake off the worry. His word is true. We can put all of our hope, faith, and trust in the God who created it all. I challenge you to write down on paper what you need from the Lord and I want you to believe that He will provide for your needs. Pray over that need in faith, lay worry down at His feet, ask Him to help you be a “oh you of BIG faith” and watch Him move! |
