Meet me at the table 4

There is a lot we could gather from this scripture but the thing the Spirit spoke to me this week was the power of our words as believers.
The disciples had been ministering this day and were trying to heal a demon possessed boy. They were unsuccessful. Jesus even went as far as to say “Oh faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to me.” Jesus then rebuked the demon, and it came out of him; and the child was cured from that very hour.
Their unbelief is what kept the boy from being healed. But i do want to point out something in this scripture. Jesus says if you have faith even as a mustard seed you will SAY to this mountain move from here to there. It didn’t say just hope for it move. He says you will SPEAK to make it move.
In this account of the demon possessed boy it says Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, SAYING to it, “Deaf and dumb spirit, I COMMAND you, come out of him and enter him no more!”
Its interesting that it says this young boy had a “mute” spirit. This boy could not speak for himself. Jesus interceded for him.. just like he still does for us today. (Romans 8:34 “It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.”
Jesus is giving us an example here that we have to SPEAK to our mountains. Not only do we speak to our mountains but we have to have the faith to believe that the mountain will be moved. They work hand in hand.
I am here to remind you today that you carry power and anointing in your voice. Whatever that thing is in your life that needs to go. Whatever needs to be healed… whether that be a physical healing in your body, a healing over a relationship, or emotional healing.. maybe its a temptation that keeps popping up that needs to be removed. Whatever the enemy is placing in your life to be a stumbling block in your relationship with God needs to go. We serve a BIG God and he gave us a voice and the Holy Spirit. He even says to his disciples in scripture “Most assuredly I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to my father.” Speak out loud and tell it to be removed in the name of Jesus. Command it to be removed.
I know it can feel silly to speak to things- that’s honestly how the enemy wants you to feel. He knows if you find the power in your voice that things will start shifting in your life. So he does all he can to keep you “mute”. Don’t give him the credit by staying silent.
I pray that your faith will rise up and you will see who you are in Christ and believe it with all your heart- because if you do- nothing will be impossible!
