Homemade Alfredo Sauce
This alfredo sauce is simple and easy. My kids would eat this everyday!
Homemade Alfredo Sauce
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons of butter
- about 2 cups of heavy whipping cream ( i honestly never measure this.. I just pour until it looks like it would be enough sauce for the amount of noodles I am preparing- If you use more than 2 cups I would just add a little more butter)
- Parmesan Cheese- At least 1 cup but if you want it a little more cheesy you could another 1/2 -1 cup of cheese. ( I always grate my cheese from a block but you could also buy pre-shredded)
- Seasoning salt ( I use lawrys)
- Pepper
Directions
- Grab a skillet and melt butter.
- Add in heavy whipping cream. Mix together and let simmer on low-medium heat. (if the heat is too high the cream will bubble over very quickly)
- Once the cream has had a chance to thicken a little bit (about 10 minutes) add in parmesan cheese.
- Mix together and let it simmer.
- Add seasoning salt and pepper to your taste. ( I will say you want it to be a little saltier tasting in the pan because once you add noodles in it will mellow out the salt)
- Add in your favorite noodles- mix together and serve!
- You could add chicken or shrimp and broccoli to this and make it meal.
