Lemon Grilled Chicken
This chicken does not disappoint. It is so good every time. It has just a hint of lemon and the perfect amount of seasonings. I hope you enjoy this around the table with your family!
Lemon Grilled Chicken
Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 6 Tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 4 large garlic cloves, minced (I do 2 good sized spoonfuls of pre-minced garlic)
- 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 ground black pepper
- 1 1/2 teaspoons lemon zest (from one lemon)
Directions
- Mix all of the ingredients together (except the chicken) and place in a gallon zip lock bag.
- You may keep your chicken breasts whole or choose to cut them up depending on what you are cooking. (I usually go ahead and cut mine up because it cooks quicker on the grill). Place your chicken in the zip lock with your marinade and massage until the chicken is completely covered.
- Place the chicken in a bowl in your refrigerator and let it marinade for 4 hours or overnight. ( I usually go ahead and get this ready in the morning if I know I’m cooking it that night)
- Cook on the grill of your choice until done and enjoy!!
- This is great by itself with sides or as a topper for chicken alfredo, salad, or any other chicken topped dish.
- If you do more than 2 chicken breasts just make sure to adjust the marinade as needed.
